Superheroes' Failed Mission

Some where in the universe there is a planet whose countries are at war at each other. Why? It's because of different peaceful religion differences the "We're right, you're wrong" kinda thing.Superheroes were deployed to make peace.

Missiles were fired from each country, not only that each missile had avoidance systems installed, but they can also predict a superheroes' tactics and can avoid those as well;  Not even a very powerful super heroine cannot stop them.No doubt about it these missiles are definitely going to hit their designated targets.

These superheroes were gone for days, so much so, that the super heroine's only daughter had had miss her mom so much, that she has been crying continuously and wouldn't even eat and drink for days. 



The super heroine's daughter was rush to the hospital were she can be fed intravenously, but to no avail, she died that very day due to kidney and heart failure. This poor sweet and innocent little girl literally died of a broken heart.

The missiles are now only a few seconds away of hitting their designated targets then all of a sudden a thundering voice in the sky "ENOUGH !!" and every missile at that very moment was suddenly transmuted  to dust and fell harmlessly to their planet. 

The super heroine's daughter came back to life and found herself next to her super heroine mom.The daughter still would need medical care for a few weeks, but she's going be okay.

Some people on that planet believe it was God herself/himself that said "Enough is enough  !!" and ended all the wars. God had to intervene.

 That planet is no longer allowed to have a space program, not with a God like voice saying "I forbid this planet to have any space program, you don't behave yourselves on this planet, so I don't want  anyone to go to the other planets to destroy them as well !"                                        (end)

What Is Walt Disney Doing To Me?

When I was a little kid in 1957 my mom and dad took me and our neighbor Connie (who they were babysitting) one Friday evening to a drive-in to see two Walt Disney movies.After getting our popcorn and root beer,  dusk  had began and a Mickey Mouse cartoon was just to begin.

 We were in country part of Columbus,Ohio loaded with quails especially the Bob Whites chirping "Bob, Bob, White, Bob, Bob, White" My mom always replied "Bob White is not home, sorry" 

The first movie was Bambi which I thought back then that it was not right to have a cartoon quail get shot. "Don't fly !!!" the other quails told her but she flew anyway and got shot , later in the film again /BANG !/ Bambi's mother got shot and died, I was devastated.One footnote it was the first death in a Walt Disney movie.

The second movie was Old Yeller  it was not a cartoon movie, so I  spent most of my time staring at Connie sleeping, since I was in the back seat with her, even at my very young age I thought Connie as a sleeping beauty.

Anyway, I thought the movie Old Yeller would have a happy ending, since Old Yeller saved her owners from a rabid wolf attack;  But not before  Old Yeller   himself had got bitten,  near the ending of the movie  /BANG !/ Old Yeller  got shot from a shotgun by his sad owner Travis and Old Yeller  died.

After those two movies were over we went home and at that time I thought I was safe from Walt Disney's unhappy endings but NO.

Walt Disney had a television show on Sundays, on one Sunday they showed a cartoon titled "Chicken Little" so I thought everything will turn out okay, but,again, NO !  See the Walt Disney Chicken Little cartoon by clicking below (end);

Superstitious People Can't Go To Heaven

What superstitious people can't go to heaven? 

It is because that astrology, witchcraft,Ouija boards and other superstitions are the works of the Devil. For one thing it takes your faith away from the Father, son and Holy Ghost and replace it with something else. It makes people evil and the devil likes nothing more than turning people evil.

Case in point a person may believe if you cross a black cat's path it will bring you bad luck and they tell me "I AM GOING TO KILL THAT BLACK CAT BEFORE HE/SHE BRINGS ME BAD LUCK"

If you do kill any domestic animal  in this state it is 3 years in prison and a $3000 fine. Yes that person's love just turn to hate and God doesn't like that.

Besides what if the black cat belong to somebody let's say a little 5 year girl and you hear her crying for her decease cat. If you do not feel guilty and  not sorry, you're definitely going to Hell.

 Not only that but her parents may sue you for the little girl's emotional distress and that could be in the neighborhood of $100,000 or  way more depending on the jury and the judge, it usually way more..
No doubt about it the jury will rule in favor of the little girl.

Bird in house means death in family that is total nonsense like I said it is the Devil making you believe in such garbage. I also heard "BIRD IN HOUSE I AM GOING TO KILL IT. There it is again hate and not love making  the person evil.

Now think about it, does all those superstitions bring peace or are you afraid and nervous about everything; That is no way to live.

 Remember the devil is a liar and will do everything in his power to turn you evil and making people superstitious is one of his many tools he uses.

If you still don't believe superstitions like astrology are evil talk to your pastor. He/she may not agree with everything here, but they will tell you that being superstitious is the work of the devil.

Yes, Jesus heals, but depending on the healing it may take time so the best answer he gives to every prayer is to wait.So put your faith in God and not superstitions and if things are not going your way do not blame a black cat or if a bird is inside the house.Things just happen.

Figuring Leap Years In Your Head I/E

When Augustus and Julius Caesar were working on the Gregorian calendar;The one we use today, February was going to have 29 days every year and 30 days every leap year;  At that time August had only  30 days, so why the change to 31 days in August?

Augustus Caesar notice his brother's month of July had 31 days, so he took the day off of February then place it on his month of August,so both months of July and August would now have 31 days.

               July was named after Julius Caesar 
         August was name after  Augustus Caesar

Why do we have leap year?  The earth makes a complete rotating circle around the sun in 365 1/4 days or 365 days and 6 hours. The leap year is to make up for the extra day, usually every four years.Read on...

To determine if a year is a leap year all we need to do is divide the year by 4 and to see if there is a reminder, if not then it's a leap year...

Let's take the year 2020, put the calculator away you won't need it, , simply take a look at the last two digits of 2020 if the last two digits of a number are a multiple of 4 then the whole number can be divided by 4 without a reminder.So 2020 is a leap year meaning that February will have 29 days that year instead of the usual 28.

It doesn't matter if a number has a zillion digits if the last two digits are a multiple of 4 then it can be divided by 4 evenally.
To make a game out of it,  you can use your calculator, input  some random digits, BUT let the last two digits be a multiple of 4, then divide by 4 and see what happens.There should be no remainder. (end)

                         

Angels Have Golden Wings

It is still 1963 and I am still upset that Allison and Heidi identical twins had to head back to west Germany...

In my bedroom, I tried to write one last letter to them , wrote on the envelope 'to Allison and Heidi, Germany' I knew that wouldn't work, so I addressed the letter in care of my elementary school. I heard nothing about it since then. 

I was crying by the barrel fulls so much so that my chest started to hurt:

  After closing my eyes:  The first thing I saw was a vivid image  of Linda, my beautiful friend,neighbor, and baby sitter  along with the rest of her church group outdoors. looking up at the stars praying.I felt this wavy sensation like a river flowing through my body then a calmness.

Inside my head I heard a female voice talking to me: "Stanley, because you have treated females as humans, and not as objects, you will be rewarded. When it's your time to go to heaven, Allison and Heidi will be waiting for you, along with your  friends and love ones, you have pure love in your heart, which is rare now-a-days" 

Female voice continues: "At the summer picnic, when you told Allison and Heidi that you love them, they already knew; Even before you told them . They knew, Stanley, they knew !"

The female voice I heard ,might of been the virgin Mary, Jesus' mother. but why  Mary's voice, and not Jesus'  ? Maybe God and Jesus decided I would receive more comfort from a female voice.

Was there something supernatural going on ?  Or was it my subconscious mind itself  comforting me, and  preventing me from going over the edge? 
                       Life is full of unanswered questions.

My Dad And Hayley Mills

It all started when I went home after school. There in the living room was a broken lamp on the floor, my dad, Homer just came in from work, he took off his belt and spanked me, but my mom, Mary, came down the stairs and told my dad that she did it while cleaning house.

My dad climb upstairs and ask him to forgive him. I thought to myself (Here's my chance to see Hayley Mills playing Peter Pan ).To make up my dad took me to see the show, it was in a another city and not Columbus, Ohio, I forgot the city's name but it took an hour and a half to drive there.

My dad and I did see Hayley Mills performed but we never met her in person.

In 1987 I got air mail from Scotland and in the envelope was a personally signed autograph from Hayley Mills. How much are her autographs worth ? Hardly nothing about $20 since she signed a slew of them.

1987 is when she was in the United States starring in "Save By The Bell" , I quit watching it when Hayley left.I usually watch it with the sound off, close captions on, because I couldn't stand the canned laughter.

A few years ago I joined the Hayley Mills Fan Facebook page, there are people on there that know Hayley Mills personally. I uploaded the autograph and they told me those are the pictures she uses to sign autographs, and they also told me the autograph is authentic.

I rather trust Hayley Mills fans on Facebook instead of  autograph authentication services, you are just paying  for their opinions. So what this say about Pawnstars ?

I had to hide my autographs from my brother, Larry, he likes to sell things, they're not for sale, I like the people on those pictures and not how much money they'll bring me.

My brother usually went to my bedroom to search for the autographs, but unknown to him, I hid them in his bedroom in in a return air register, tuck in one of the vents; Where it cannot be seen, under his bed..(END)

Presents For My Late Mom

My mom, Mary, died in 1998, she was a heavy smoker and her left lung completely gave up.

When I was working I usually gave presents to my Mom on the holidays.

I colored in this picture when I was a little kid using crayons.

One present I gave her probably on Christmas was a peacock light.

She always had it on top of her
grand piano. Yes, she did know how to play the piano.


I also use the peacock as my profile picture of my old sadsack67 twitter, however there were back then too many people with the username of sadsack67, so I decided to use stanleyinparis.

This bunny candle holder I thought at first I gave it to her on Mother's day, but the more I 
thought about it, it was actually on a Easter Sunday.

This is what my mom gave me including the artificial flowers.

I used to like the comedy 'Cheers' back then from 1983 to 1993. I now use it to keep my spare pens and pencils.


                                   Why do I use the word present(s) instead of gift(s)? So, I would not offend any German people, gift in the German language and pronounce the same means poison and not presents.

Scams are on the increase.

Scams are on the increase, but most of these scams can be prevented by simply not answering the phone of numbers you do not know,they may leave a message or voice mail but ignore those also.

Watch out for medicare scams, they call saying that they're from social security and yet they will ask for your social security number. Wouldn't they already know your social security number?

New medicare cards are being mailed out without social security numbers but another number that is unique only to you but it takes time and they will never call,unless you call them first.


There is also a "Can you hear me ?" scam. Never say "Yes"  they will record your 'yes' and apply it to another recording such as "You want me to charge this to your credit card ?" which is followed of course with your recorded 'yes'. 

No legit company will call you unexpectedly, unless you called them first and are expecting their call.

Another thing a person can do is to Google the number, when a dialogue box  pops up saying "Google couldn't match any documents" then you know that number is fake. Beware tough business numbers can be 'spoof' on caller I.D.

Never press any buttons even to opt out it'll prove to them they have a real number. I followed this advice and I am down to only five scam calls a week.

In any case follow this rule: I CALL YOU, YOU DON'T CALL ME 

Best Time To Take Pictures?

Last Thursday I took pictures of my old Polaroids at 6:41 PM,why 6:41 ? Because sunset was at 7:41 PM. Now common,Stanley, you're not making sense, the reason is that:  one hour before sunset or even one hour before sunrise is when the light is all even out, no sources brighter or darker than the other.This actually however is the best time to take pictures of nature ,people at picnics outside, kids playing etc., cool weather....

...However, in my case (inside my house near a sunny north window), I use those times to take pictures of pictures with my iPad mini which yield better picture quality results than any other of my devices, but when I had transferred the taken pictures to my computer they were too big like 2000 to 3000 pixels each, and my photoshop software was unable to change the image size to 600 pixels as photoshop   gave me a program error message;  The images were simply too big.

So what am I going to do ? Well, this time I am going  line up my old Polaroids and take a video of them using my iPad mini  panning left to the right then make vidcaps  of the video, after it has being transferred to my computer. Using photoshop, sometimes the mp4 format has to be change to the wmv format  that can be done using the computer's windows movie maker.

Once the vidcaps are made I can use photoshop to crop unnecessary backgrounds and make other improvements.

There are videos of youtube that teaches people how to transfer pictures from iPad or from other sources to a computer, so I will skip that part.Of course one can use a cloud service like Google cloud which can be retrieve from any synced device. 

How did the picture of pictures turn out ? Well, not as a good quality as if one had use a picture scanner, all I can say "acceptable"

Outlets and Outlets.

You're at the doctor's office and notice that their outlets have  horizontal slots; Well, that is a 20 amp outlet connected to a 20 amp circuit.  The hospital equipment 20 amp  plugs have one vertical blade, one horizontal  blade and a ground.  The wiring used  on the circuit breaker is 12 gauge with ground.The smaller the number the bigger the wire.

In modern homes kitchens and bathrooms use 20 amps, but why are there only 15 amp outlets connected ? Well, in some states it is acceptable to use 15 amp outlets on a 20 amp circuit if there are series of them and not just one or two.

HOWEVER, NEVER INSTALL  A 20 AMP OUTLET TO A 15 AMP CIRCUIT THAT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. 15 amp circuits are use mostly for living rooms and bedrooms. The wiring use for a 15 amp circuit is 14 gauge with ground, which is smaller than the 12 gauge.The wiring in the 14 gauge wire is easy to bend. The 12 gauge wiring will be  a little harder to bend.

20 amps which handles more wattage than 15 amps are for heavy duty appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines etc.

Now can one plug in a 15 amp appliance like a tv into a 20 amp outlet ? The answer is yes;  If the answer was no, the plug wouldn't fit in the 20 amp outlet in the first place.

Always make sure all connections to the outlets stay; If the blades are expose  even 1/8 out of the outlet that could easily start a fire.

One can change the outlets without any hitch just follow the instructions that came with the outlet(s). However, wiring  a house is a different story, when done call in an expert to check your work and make sure all outlets and plugs are UL listed (United States) and/or CA listed (Canada).

Balancing An Egg On Its End

Can a person balance an egg on its end only on the season of spring equinox ?  Well, that's a myth, actually a person is able to balance an egg on its end anytime of the year. What makes it difficult to balance is the yolk inside the egg, it won't stay centered.However, it is still possible to balance a raw egg.

 To balance a raw egg use its fat end, use a rough surface (like a rug), or sprinkle salt on a smooth surface, you can also can shake the egg vigorously trying to stir the yolk and egg white inside the shell. There may be also an appliance you can buy that stirs the yolk with the white right inside the egg.

When an egg is hard boiled the yolk inside  will stay centered, meaning you can spin the egg on its end. You can even trick your friends, give them  raw eggs to spin, while you spin the hard boiled one, raw eggs will not be able to spin, hard boil eggs will, or  flat the fat end of a hard boil egg  with your fingers,then balance that egg on its end.

Breaking an egg inside your fist is nearly impossible even tough it can be done. Give your friends raw eggs to break inside their fists , while you  use a soft boiled egg and pretend to struggle like the rest, until you finally decide to apply pressure,  the white and yolk  will spill out.. (Reason for the soft boiled rather than hard boiled.)
