I Love Stitchers

I love Stitches so much that next month I am going to purchase Volume One of Stitches and Volume  Two a month after that. I do not have  debit and/or credit cards but I do go to the store and purchase a $25 iTune gift card once a month.I am on a budget.

Note: None of the gift cards iTunes or otherwise on the unsecured racks are activated. They must be activated at the cash register.So if you drop a few accidently on the floor while trying to get your  iTune card(s) don't worry about it.They're nothing but cardboard .They don't even have bugs that set off the store's alarm installed in them.

Of course there may be some idiots that will try to steal a handfull of those unknownst to them unactivated gift cards. The store will
even let them leave with them and probably report it to iTunes.

So when this person or persons try to enter an unactivated code into the computer it won't work, also iTunes now knows were they are exactly located. IDIOTS !   Duh! Oh that's where you are ! --lol

Not only that but they would not be allowed in that store again, not just the store they have in  their town, but all of them. Stealing is still stealing. Their name(s)  along with their picture is/are now in their database in all their branches.

Now why am I going to download Stitchers next month and the month after that? Well, this month I am planning to download Victoria Justice's new movie 'The Outcasts' . However I will still have some money left; I can at least download   some of the Stitchers episodes for $2.99 each just to get started.

Direct And indirect Variations

                                Intruduction:
Oh no not more math ? ! Why do I sometimes write  blogs about math? Sometimes parents need help with their kids' homework especially math (if they already don't know how). Math was one of my favorite subjects in school. 

 A direct variation in math is when if one thing increases then another thing increases as well. For example the more you buy the more you have to pay. It also applies to decreases. The less you buy the less you have to pay.

For example three apples cost you a dollar. How much would six apples cost? Yes, I know you already know the answer but let's do
the math anyway.

                                3            1
                               ----   =   ----
                                6            X

                   Now let's cross multiply: 
                                3X=6
                                  X=2
So if three apples cost one dollar then six apples cost two dollars.
      
Now on to the indirect variations where one thing increases while another decreases. For example when driving in a car the faster you go (increase)  the less time (decrease)  it would take you to get to your destination.

Let's say you are driving at 30 miles per hour and it took 8 hours to get to your destination. How long would it take  if you were driving  at 60 miles per hour ? Yes, I know you already know the answer, but again let's do the math anyway.
                              30       8
                             ----  = ----
                              60      X    

Hold it ! If we figure this equation as it stands now, we will get the  wrong answer of 16 . Remember this time it is an indirect variation in this case we have to invert one side doesn't matter which one. Let's invert the right side changing 8/X into X/8.

                             30      X
                            ----  = ---- 
                             60       8

              Now let's cross multiply: 
                 (30)(8) = 60(X)

            then divide by 60 on both sides.

                  (30)(8) 
                   -------  =   X
                    (60)

      30/60 can be reduce to 1/2 and 1/2 of 8 is 4 which is now the correct answer. So there we have it in this indirect variation. If it took 8 hours to get to your destination driving at 30 MPH  then it would take you 4 hours driving at  60 MPH

How To Colorize B/W Photographs In Photoshop

Why would anyone want to colorize a black and white photograph ? Because it's fun and it is also relaxing .Maybe it's cold outside or it's raining and there is nothing else to do. Yes, you can have others to have it done for you, but I know you might want to do it yourself.
I will also show how to make photographs look like drawings. Don't worry it is very easy.

Open a black and white photo that you want to colorize, set your brush settings to color. What this does is let you paint the picture without painting over it, if not lower the opacity to a level that does.

You will notice below I have also have a color picture but why ? It is because in photoshop I can use the color picker (eye dropper) on the tip on my nose to match my skin tone. See video below the picture.You may want to watch it  full screen.

Some of the time the hair color may not come out right, so use your swatches and  opacity settings . Enjoy, think of colorizing photographs as a pages from a coloring book.

In this case I use the color blue choosen from the swatches.It takes practice.I am actually wearing a two color shirt.

Changing any photograph into a drawing:

Open any photo in photoshop. Go to Filter  (in the menu) then stylize and  find edges  ....

....then go to  Enhance   (in the menu) , adjust color   then remove color. Now you have another picture to color. Read on below the picture.

Now if you want a chalk drawing on blackboard look:

Go to Image (in the menu),  adjustments then finally invert.

Then save your painted picture using "save as" give it a name then press enter.

Best Friends Forever

In my old age I sometimes remember things that had long past and all the fun I had in the 1960's mostly listening to the radio and buying and playing records, reading comic code authority approved comic books, and even socializing.The only main problem I really had was doing my homework but not in the summer time.

On a rare cool August evening in 1963 my parents were planning a barbecue at Glen Echo Park located in Columbus,Ohio.We also invited  our  neighbor Linda , her family, as well as our good friends  the German identical twins Allison and Heidi.

Linda, since she is a member of a  Catholic  church   lead us into grace { not favoring one religion over the other here } While we were eating, Linda started to look at me  with hands folded as if she was still in prayer and spoke to me:  "Stanley, I know you have strong feelings for  Allison and Heidi  . Now is the time to tell them how you feel !" I had no idea how Linda knew that but okay.

Allison and Heidi have had heard what  Linda had just said, walked  towards me said to me : "kommen" and we started to walk holding hands while Linda gave me this advice:  "Stanley, close  the door to your mind and open your heart, let your heart do all the talking"

(After walking a short distance) "What's your heart trying to tell us. Stanley?" asked the twins. "We have an idea ,but we want it to be heard from you and your heart.. 
                        Tell us, Stanley, Tell us !"  

With a little choke in my voice , my head tilted down with  a small tear rolling down my cheek  I told them that I love them very much.I told them also that I have no idea, why I feel the way I do.

Knowing I was about to cry Allison and Heidi place their hands on my shoulders to console me: "Stanley, it is all right,you're not the only boy that feels that way about us. We know many more, but we do  love you  and  always will."  

"You're one of the few boys we can actually trust.In fact we consider you as our best male friend; But it would be better for all of us if we  just remain friends."

"We  will be leaving for west Germany very soon and we don't like to see you hurt . Let's consider our good times we had together and maybe going to have, including this day's  barbecue as our dates.

I knew they where telling the truth because they responded right away without any delays. 

Twins: "Now, let us go back to the barbecue. We will allow you to sit between us" with hands held and me now being thristy for a soda  to clear my throat we headed back to the barbecue party.

A few days later Allison and Heidi arrived at my house and asked my parents " hier ist Stanley ?". My mom yelled upstairs: "Stanley? Heidi and Allison are here, they want to talk to you !"

What the twins wanted is to give me something to remember them by, in case I would be unable to see them again.

(After getting my parent's permission) The twins and I carved our names on a tree then carved  a heart around our names, beside that heart another heart that has been kissed and carved just by Allison and Heidi themselves including the sentence: 
"Beste Freunde für immer"

The Upside Down Television Picture

This Saturday will be April fool's day. So what prank should we pull ?  I know !  Let's turn someone's smart TV picture upside down. Don't worry it's legal and simple so please read on.

First off if your computer can record tv shows then  record various tv shows but only for about 20 seconds each. Next let's use the computer's movie editor software to combine those shows. and then turn all the video images upside down,  name and save the file. Finally transfer the gimmick media on an USB stick via copy and paste.

Yes, you guess it ! Take the gimmick USB stick and plug it in one of the USB ports in back of a smart tv and select the 

right input. Go to the gimmick video and play it.

Get your remote then call your victim "Honey, why are all the tv pictures upside down ?" About every 20 seconds tap an empty space on the remote pretending to change the channels that will convince your victim it is the fault of their TV and not the stations themselves.See video below:

2 Candy Girls

I seen a lot sets of human female twins in my days but this blog is about look- alikes (doubles) and not twins.

In the sixth grade I knew a very beautiful girl named Candy B. .When walking home from school along with other classmates we all had to start walking in the same direction. Candy B and the other girls always allowed me to play with their hair. Candy was the only one who had a ponytail.

I just can't believe that during that time that Candy B had actually allowed me to kiss her. So many times that I had something that looked like small razor cut on my left side of my bottom lip.We were in puppy-love.

During the summer of 1963 in Columbus, Ohio I went at least twice a week to a public swimming pool named Olympic Swimming pools. It was just a name everyone was allowed there after paying a fee to enter.

The pool is usually crowded except nearing September when Olympic was going to close for the season and hardly anyone there.
Out of nowhere came these bevy of girls willing to swim with me. I suspect they were from the near by Catholic church. One of them even look liked Candy B and I said "Hi,Candy" but as it turns out Candy was her name also. I probably have scared her.

But I did explained that she reminded me of another girl named Candy B. ,even tough you both look a like, you're slightly taller. The only way to clear that up is of course is to let the two Candies met each other. The meeting was arranged. Everything was settled after I apologised and was forgiven.

It seems like every one has a look-alike; But the trouble with some doubles they may have ironically the same first name believe it or not, but it does happen.I have a look-alike in town now ,and guess what?  He has the same first name as I. It's just one of those things.

The Fourth Heart

Vickie and Holly are two sisters born one year apart and almost look alike, and they both had jackets on. On each of their jackets there are three hearts sewn on the top right.

One day at their favorite diner they notice that their friend Earl may be bored and they had asked him " Earl, You want to come with us at 'The Great Place' place?  Our parents own it.

Curious Earl asked "What is 'The Great Place' place?  

Holly and Vickie explain: "Well it is a tall building and inside the building there are ice rinks, roller staking rinks, bowling alley, a swimming pool, a place where you can play laser tag, juke boxes and even an arcade where you can play video games but nothing violent. We don't go for that sort of thing and except for a few games like Pac-man; The other arcade game rules are simple just shoot at everything coming at you !, and there is also a place in the building where you can eat."

At 3 PM that day Earl, Vickie and Holly were about enter the doors of 'The Great Place'  but Earl notice a field across the street with a herd of cattle and he had also noticed a big building beside it."What is that building ?" Earl had asked.

Vicki and Holly again explain: "Our parents own that also. It is an all natural ice cream place and they also own the cows. they also grow their own berries and fruit and the only ingredients they  use are milk/cream, sugar and sometimes eggs or yolks"

"You can make your own custom flavor ice cream there, like for example: Green apple blackberry ,or if you can't decide they have a computer in there that can decide for you. Just tell them how many kinds of fruits or berries you want". "If you  choose  only three fruits you can make your own neapolitian ice cream which not always have to be vanilla, chocolate and strawberry". It is hard to determine how many flavors they have, but we have to say that those combinations are off the charts"

Earl decided he wanted an all natural blackberry milkshake which the sisters bought for him. The sisters themselves decided on all natual lemon milk shakes. Yep,Earl, Vickie and Holly had a lot of fun that evening. :)

The next day back at the diner Earl had notice that each jacket worn by the sisters had a fourth heart sewn to it. Earl asked "Why the fourth heart ?"

"Well, Earl" as the sisters explained "each heart means something."

Holly while pointing:  "This first heart means I love my mom, second heart I love my dad and the third heart means I love Vickie"

Vickie: "Same here with my jacket first heart means I love my mom, second heart I love my dad and the third heart means of course I love Holly"

Earl: "And the fourth heart ?"

Holly and Vickie simultaneously:  "and our fourth hearts

 we love Earl"

The Phonies

Yes, this blog is about phonies I had known. The first one is my late toxic uncle who always pretends he had a lot of money. If that were the case why did he always watch football games on tv? Instead of buying tickets. The reason he came to our house because the ballgames he likes are usually blocked in his hometown. So he watches them on our tv in our hometown.

Another phony is my toxic uncle's wife, my aunt of course pretending to do a book of crossword puzzles in ink. She would tear the answer pages of the puzzle book and give them to my mom. Oh common now anybody can see through that one.She had two copies of the same puzzle book and one with all the answers already filled out. Go ahead and pretend to do the puzzles in ink  sitting in the chair with an ink pen No one can possibly know everything especially the science, math and history questions.

Another phony was my brother just because I have pass the navy test at the recruiting office he told me that the test was phony. Why would they give me a fake test?  Most part of the test I had pass on was the math problems and I was accepted.Downgrading others to make one  look good does not go well with me.They had a draft law in place during the 1960's so I would have wound up in the armed forces anyway.

Finally another phony using someone else's facebook account and posing as that person. What tip me off was the mispelling of words he posted and emailed to me. Blaming others for problems he  cause for himself does not go well with me either. Trying convince his girlfriend that everyone hates her, so she'll have no choice but go to him for support. Oldest trick in the book and his girlfriend fell for it. 

He likes to live in a gangstr rap fantasy instead of facing reality.Of course he thinks  to himself as cool , but  sane adults see him as a drunked  idiot.I did not only block his account but his IP address as well. No matter who he poses as, he can't get in.

Precious In Doggie Heaven

This is Precious talking: Doggie heaven is like earth, except here, us dogs do not need any human help. We just  think of what we need , and it suddenly appears in front of us; Like a comfortable bed for example, or maybe even a big juicy steak.Creating things just from mere thought.Heck, we can even visit other planets! Here in doggie heaven we have unlimited power.

Of course I am not the only dog here. Bear and Nike are also in doggie heaven and they are the jokers of  our group. Not only can they create things  with mere thoughts like I can, but also like me they can cause events to happen on the planet earth.

One day Bear and Nike convinced the earth human Sam to fill all his pockets and his pants with bananas and to walk inside a monkey cage. As it turns out later that day Sam married one of the monkeys. :)

The Three Lindas

                               LINDA ,Y 
I knew a lot of Lindas in my life. The first Linda, Linda Y was my babysitter and also my neighbor and a very beautiful friend. Sometimes she went to my house other times my parents sent me over to her house. Even as a little boy I like girls for some reason. 

Linda Y is the one who taught me how to ride my bike and how to swim using the hold then let go method. When Linda Y was teaching me how to swim I didn't mind being held in her arms and carrying me through the pool while I was doing swimming movements . She had suddenly let go without me realizing it and I was swimming on my own.

It was in the third grade I believe when I knew a Linda R one day while taking a test we cheated by looking at each other's papers. The teacher came over and said "I want to talk to you two !"  We had to stay after school and  had to take the test over.

Later that year it was Christmas and our class drew names to whom we had to buy gifts for. I do not remember what name I had drawn but Linda R drew my name. Her  Christmas gift to me was one of the Golden books titled "The Saggy Baggy Elephant"  it came with a 7 inch 33 1/3 R.P.M  record that you're suppose to read along with and when a bong was heard it meant it was time to look at the next page.

In 1965 during one weekend I was on my way to see a movie at the Hudson theater in Columbus, Ohio. I heard Linda P from her upstairs window of her house "Stanley, where are you going?"  I told her I was going to a movie to watch a movie titled "Two On A Guillotine" at that time I was smitten with Connie Stevens. I even watched her on the tv series "Hawaiian  Eye" 

In the theater while I was watching the movie "Two On A Guillotine"  I thought to myself "Stanley, are you an idiot ?. You could have spent time with Linda P a very beautiful lady. The same one who came up to you in the sixth grade coatroom looking at you with her deep blue eyes with her arms folded in front of her in prayer fashion  almost like she was begging when she asked "Stanley, May I kiss you?" The request you granted"  Of course it was granted I wasn't going to turn that down especially since she looks almost like Joey Heatherton but not quite but still beautiful tough.I definitely slept and dreamt well that night.

About "Two On A Guillotine" the movie is not graphic. It doesn't even have any profanities .It is just one of the horror movies that just tells a story. A movie with no body counts.A story of a magician whose guillotine trick went wrong.It stars of course Connie Stevens and also Dean Jones and  Cesar Romero. This movie can be bought or rented on iTunes.
