Playing the Pick 3 game is it worth it?

Okay, People who can afford it play a dollar a day on pick 3 games..If the number is boxed your odds are 220 to 1, When playing number straight your odds are 1000 to 1.

But instead of playing pick 3 games every day just save a dollar a day  starting on January the 1st (about $30 + a month)   and at the end of the year you'll have $365 or $366 ( leap year.) at the end of the year.
 
At 50 cents a game a six way box (all digits are different) wins $40 or $80 on a three way box (two digits are the same). The winnings are doubled if you play a one dollar a game ($80,$160)

 Of course play your number if you feel lucky, but I would play it straight. Playing a number straight at 50 cents yields $250 if it is hit. A $500 win if you play a winning number at one dollar a game.
