Does prayer work? This story will amaze you

Al was teenage boy who mostly had a female side. One day instead of going to church Al went to the movies instead. The movie was starring two famous men named Bert and Tom not only that the theater itself was filled with wall to wall girls.

When Al was watching the movie he heard one girl behind him whispering to another girl that Bert and Tom are really very good looking studs.

So when the movie was over and when Al got home he prayed every night to become a stud. In one of his Bible studies he learned you have to keep praying until you see an inner cloud.

One day he felt his inner cloud coming out of back of his head  and moving forward in front of his eyes .He watched the small cloud while it was floating out of the window."Great" said Al "God is going to answer my prayer"

But Al knew according to his Bible studies that God usually doesn't answer prayers right away. In his Bible studies the usual answer to prayer is to wait.

So Al waited days and days until one day  he did indeed became  a stud because on that day Al became a cog on a wagon wheel also  known as a stud.

Calendars and Time

You may be wondering why Chrismas and New Years always fall on the same day of the week, even tough it is on a different week.It's very simple really because they are always 7 days apart. 

If we take February the 1st which this year began on Sunday and add 7 then next Sunday will be the 8th which is today. Adding 7 again we get 15 which will be the date for next Sunday and so on.By the way, when the 1st of  any month begins on a Sunday there will always  be a Friday the 13th.

The earth of course completes its orbit around the sun in 365 1/4 days. That 1/4 is why we have leap year to make up the difference.To figure if any year is a leap year simply divide the year by 4 if there is any remainer then the year is not a leap year.Let's take the year 2016 and divide that by 4 we get an answer of 504 and no remainer. So 2016 will be a leap year.

Now let's talk about the time on a clock : Suppose you're in the Navy boot camp and they call "Taps" (sleep time) and you go to bed at 9:30 PM and are awaken at 4:30 AM how many hours is that?

In the example above you can do this math in your head. First add 12 to the AM hour (4:30 + 12 = 16:30) then subtract the PM hour (16:30 - 9:30 = 7 hours). Odd ball hours like 9:15 PM to 9:20 AM will be  a little more difficult to do in one's head.

Did you know long time ago February always had 29 days and August always had 30 days ? Augustus Caesar had notice that his brother's month July had 31 days while his month of August only had 30 days. So Augustus took one day off  of  February and  then added to his month of August, so that both July and August  will now have  31 days.The month of July was named after Julius Caesar and the month of August was named after Augustus Caesar.

 AM means before the middle of the day. (mornings before noon)
 PM means after the middle of the day (after noon)

One final fact: In Julius Caesar's army every man had to know how to play chess.

My Good Deeds

These  good deeds I have done in various times but they are all absolutely true even though I cannot remember the order I did them so the deeds will be all random.

One deed I did was for an old lady who wanted a phone  jack and line in her bedroom.(This was before cellphones) and the phone company said they do it for a $100.So I did it instead.She said she'll pay for the phone line and jack which I got at Rural King  at that time was $15. I did not charge her for labor except maybe two cups of coffee and that was it.There was nothing to it just match the wire colors.

Another deed was when I help neighbors with their computer problems they were afraid I might charge them but I didn't except again for a cup of coffee  or two ,and to my surprise one of them invited me to a  fried chicken dinner with her family and the other one to a lasagna dinner at a different time with her boyfriend just to say thank you.Had fun at both events.They didn't have to.

Now one other person had a FBI virus on her computer with a fake FBI message saying that they'll let her in after she pays the $300 fine. I told her not to pay it. It is a scam and It took 1/2 day to get rid of that virus and I also told them to keep their computers updated or it might show up again.(Antivirus, firewall and windows update) and a spyware scanner unless it is built in the antivirus.After I updated and ran the antivirus and antispyware I ran windows update that took about 4 hours to enter them all but the computer works fine now even to this day and that person was able to keep her $300.Yeah, I was sipping coffee while I was working on their computer :)

On one hot sticky summer day I visited a neighbor that used to lived behind me she had no air conditioner but she had about ten fans going  and she also had small kids ,since my new place had central air I gave them  my old window air conditioner .

My greedy brother wanted me to charge her husband for using the window air conditioner I told him I am not like that. My brother even had a book called "Borrowed Your Way To A Big Fortune" Of course the only people who made money were the people selling that book.

Anyway, on one of my bicycle trips about four miles out of town my bicycle tire blew, but as luck would have it the people  which I have given the window air conditioner drove  up and offered me a ride back home which I took. Now if I charge them for using the window air conditioner would they still offer me a ride?

Hiding My Comic Books Wonder Woman and Superman

After Action #1 featuring Superman there were a lot of superheroes of other magazines and there was this phycologist at that time talking against them. I know how that works, I believe it was just a ploy so he can drum up more business. You'll never be cured. You'll be coming back so the pyscologist will get more money.

As a result most kids had to hide their comic books I hid mine directly under my parent's bottom towel drawer. They'll never realize when they pulled out the towel drawer my comic books were on the floor directly under the  towel drawer.They're no worse than watching TV.

Now enter William Moulton Marston author name Charles Moulton who's he? Well, he is  a physologist who invented the polygraph also known as a lie detector not only that he created the comic book character Wonder Woman and also her golden lasso that forces people to tell the truth. Wonder Woman is not as strong or fast as Superman but is still a superhero.Wonder Woman as well as  actoress Lynda Carter treated both sexes as equals.

Wonder Woman also had an invisable airplane since she could not fly but she could leap 1/4 mile at a time tough. Her "invisable" air\ plane was covered with silver screen material like those on a movie screen. The plane had cameras on both sides of the plane  that project the images on the opposite sides of the plane to make it appear invisable.

The U.S Army expermented with invisable tanks with the method explained above but the downside they still left tracks in the ground.

Even tough most of Wonder Woman's powers are magical she is still vulnerable.

Now you know Superman can fly but how does he simply hang there in midair ? Simple everything has negative and postive charges and Superman simply matches the like charges that repelled each other and up he goes and he just hangs there. It also explains why he can fly off with a car in his hands without being weighed down.

Now the earth's ground is usually negative charge and when a positive charge cloud passes over lighting results. You may think the lighting hits from above and down to ground. Nope, it's the other way  around the lighting comes from the ground  and hits the cloud.Even if one cloud is negative charge and the other positive charge the lighting will shoot straight across horizontally (one cloud to another).

When I was in school I did my homework first before I started reading my comic books and if I had homework Friday I did my homework on Friday to avoid doing the last minute doing homework on Sunday. I got mostly A's and B's in most of my subjects except for history I wouldn't  remember all that stuff geeze besides it was the weekend and  my brain was in vacation mode. :)

Animal Languages..

Okay you are walking through the woods and you know enough to make noise so you won't surprise any bears hoping they are black and/or brown bears and not grizzlies and knocking on trees to let them know where you are also helps.

As you walk through the woods a bee hits you in the head you keep walking an another bee hits you in the head then another,so what are the bees trying to tell you ?  They're telling you to go the other way because you are getting too close to their hive(s).So go the other way.

Now through the woods you see a skunk or a polecat (which is a skunk without the white stripe) and he thumps his/her front paws three times.This is a warning to leave him/her be or you'll get sprayed.Go the other way. Yep, they warn you first before you get sprayed.

Now when you see a dog if he/she is smiling and tail wagging then you're okay. Sometimes dogs growl and still wag their tails so in this case I don't know which end to believe.

Now if you know a dog is friendly let him/her smell your losely close fist so they can "smell" your personally believe it or not they can tell if a person is up to no good.

When your pet dog sits on a person's shoes or is close to it while the person is standing up the dog is trying to tell you do not trust this person.Usually the dog will come between you and the evil person.

Now if a person you know comes to your door and your dog knows him/her as well the dog may smile and bark and wag his/hers tail.That's just  a greeting bark and is  therefore nothing to worry about.

My commodore 64 Computer

Since the  1980's I had a commode 64 with various games and useful programs. The picture of my C64 is below and as you can see there is a antenna converter box also connected to it. In case the cable goes out.The monitor had two sets of inputs one for computer and in this case I set the other up  for broadcast tv.

Before digital TV I had the monitor connected to just an antenna it came in handy. Our cable company told us that there would be no cable for one day when they change the analogue signals to digital but I was still able to watch "Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader ?"  which had the Dallas Cowboys' Cheerleaders  on that night.

Now you tought CD-Rs were old how about 5 1/4 inch floppies ?which actually are circular magnetic tape and had to kept away from magnetic fields. CDs, DVDs are nothing but plastic, so they're safe from magnetic fields.Picture of my blank 5 1/4 floppies below:

Finally,  below a picture of my bins filled with 5 1/4 inch floppies some helpful software ,others games. I even have a copy program so I can make extra copies.The copy program even copies itself :)

Yes, they had something like the internet in the 1980's using a regular landline phone but you were charged by the minute. It was not like now when a person is charged one straight rate a month.

Making Your Own Slideshows Using Windows 8.1

It's very simple to make your own slideshow in my case I am using the windows 8.1

First save the pictures you want in your slideshow in a folder on the desktop. 

Double click on one of your pictures and it should be displayed on the Windows Live Photo Gallery and be sure the "change theme" is set to Pam and Zoom that'll set an automatic pam and zoom then click on "slideshow"

If you like what you see :Click on "create movie" that'll take you to the Windows Live Movie Maker.  You may want to set your "project menu" to "standard 3:4" and look below the "save movie" menu and click on  " for computer" and finally save it to your computer.Those menus are right on top of the Windows Live Movie Maker.

Most websites may not accept uploads for widescreen 16:9  main reason the "project" is set to standard 4:3.

Add some public domain music and/or voice to your slideshow and there you go. In this case the public domain music I am using is titled "feeling good" from www.purple-planet.com. You should get the hang of it in no time.

Things Are Not Always What They Seem.

Okay, you're driving and you look out your window and see a friend walking towards a traven and  you assume he is going there for some drinks. Is he/she really?  Well, in my case there happens to be a movie theater right next to the bar even tough it seems I was going to a traven actually I was going to the movies.

You walk pass my house look in my window and you see smoke and assume I am smoking. I could be I am old enough ,but in this case I was soldering wires from an electronic piece of hardware.

You heard of caesar salad and assume it was named after Julius Caesar not so. It was named after an Italian Caesar Camdini who moved to Mexico and had control of restaurants in both U.S.A and Mexico.

Fig Newtons  was not named after the scientist but for a small town in Massachueets and the story of an apple falling on scientist Newton's head was all fantasy.

Now buffalo wings: wait !  buffaloes do not have wings.Actually buffalo wings is a recipe that came from Buffalo, New York akin to Pekin duck.

Now the girl scotts use to sell my parents chocolate turtles and at that time I tought they were actual turtles covered in chocolate. One day I got brave and tried one .Heck, they're not real turtles but chocolate covered caramel design to look like turtles. I liked it.

Awww, german cake my favorite German recipe. Wait a minute ! The recipe did not come from Germany but from an american chef named Sam German. Sam German created a real dark chocolate to use in his cake along with pecans and coconut flakes spread on the top. Sounds good see ya ! ;)

More Google Tricks

On Google images did you know you can search by voice or by image. When at Google image site you will see two icons on the right side of their search box.

Suppose you saw a bird and wondering what kind of bird it is. Simple, take a picture of it and upload it to the Google site and they'll find a match.

As for the mircophone left click on it until you see the prompt "speak now"  or "listening" and say your request. Also you can enable "Okay Google"  and that way you won't have to click on anything. Just say  "Okay Google" first and then say your request.

Also you can type or speak "Translate:  no como carne" and Google  will not only detect the language but also translate it "I don't eat meat"   and you can also try this:
